Ever found yourself searching through YouTube tutorials, unsure if your cello technique was correct? Learning the cello can be a challenge, and that’s why I’m thrilled to share a vision that’s been years in the making.

The  Idea:

Inspired by the improvement I observed in the students I work with, a desire to reach a larger audience, and a revelation from an insightful interview, I had an idea: an online cello school that imparts guidance through automated playlists and ensures continuous support, taking cello students from confused and struggling to confident and clear. Fast forward, and I’m excited to introduce Victor Lawrence Cello, an online school and community designed to elevate your cello journey.

Here’s the Vision:

Victor Lawrence Cello isn’t an online course; it’s a dynamic framework for learning cello technique. Playlists guiding you through each stage, practice prompts, and interactive Zoom classes – all crafted to take you from novice to intermediate, or intermediate to pro, or from advanced to even more confident and secure. But it’s not just about lessons; it’s about fostering a community where cello enthusiasts connect, share, and grow together.

Subscription is monthly, there is no annual commitment.

About me:

Born in the heart of New York City and currently calling Southern California home, my journey as a cellist has been a symphony of experiences in the worlds of film, television, and renowned music productions.

My cello has graced the scores of blockbuster films like A Beautiful Mind, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Fast and the Furious, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up, Ice Age, Moana, Jurassic World, Spider-Man, Star Trek, Mission Impossible, Planet of the Apes and television dramas Alias and Lost. Notable moments include cello solos featured in Clint Eastwood’s Changeling and the telvision series Fringe.

My musical canvas extends beyond the silver screen, having contributed to the works of legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Barbra Streisand, Kelly Clarkson, Carly Simon, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Michael Jackson, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Taylor Swift and Madonna. A seasoned pit orchestra performer on Broadway in New York, I also served as a substitute cellist with the New York Philharmonic for five seasons, joining the orchestra in performance at celebrated concert halls at home and around the world.

Formally educated at the Juilliard School for my Bachelor’s degree and the Manhattan School of Music for my Master’s degree, my dedication to the art of cello playing is rooted in a foundation of world-class training and a passion for pushing the boundaries of musical expression.
